How To Heat, Charge & Control Your Ravean Apparel

September 19, 2015

We’ve reinvented the heated jacket. Created with your active lifestyle in mind, Ravean climate control outerwear was designed to adapt to the rigors of your busiest days, seamlessly transitioning between work, play, and whatever else you’re up to—no matter how questionable or inclement the weather.Using the latest in performance tech, including lithium polymer batteries, carbon coil heating panels, and a superior water-resistant coating, we’re convinced our heated jackets, hoodies, and vests are virtually indestructible. So much so, every purchase is backed by a 5-year warranty.

Want to know more about our tech specs? Check out what’s under our hood.

Stylish, versatile, and technologically advanced, Ravean offers the first line of heated clothing that you’ll love to wear. The only problem—you might never want to take it off.

Charging Your Ravean Heated Apparel

Getting ready for any outdoor activity? Whether it’s a grueling hike, multi-day travel, or simply hanging out at the game, we all know the drill: Wear layers and be prepared for the weather to change.

It isn’t rocket science. It’s just a pain.

Instead of rocking more layers than a wedding cake, juice up your heated jacket before finishing a second cup of coffee. Ready to suit up? Here’s how it works.

12v Heated Down Jackets

Both Ravean Heated Down Jacket and Heated Hooded Down Jacket models come with a slim, light (just .5 lbs) 12v battery that will fully charge in just 90 minutes.

Doing so is as simple as connecting the included coax cable to your jacket’s power bank, and plugging it into a socket. And there’s no need to fight over power outlets if multiple devices need to be juiced up before heading out the door—your Ravean 12v battery can recharge a smartphone up to six times over.

5v Heated Hoodie & Down Vest

Ravean Heated Hoodie and Down Vest models warm you up with an ultra-light 5v battery that can be connected to any USB port.

Also fully charged in 90 minutes, our 5v models can connect right to your desktop or notebook, delivering day-long comfort even in a chilly office.

To Ensure Safe Charging
We’ve embedded a temperature sensor inside the power bank of each model. It can sense the heat of the battery and will rotate the LED light to alert the wearer if any problems.

Turning On (and Up) the Heat

Most heated jackets only allow you to switch between on and off—leaving you to choose between hot… or not.

Each Ravean model allows for complete climate control with three settings. Our 12v heated down jackets even allow you to choose between different heated panel combinations and accessories.

With the push of a button (or two), here’s how to customize your personal climate.

12v Heated Down Jackets

Both Ravean Heated Down Jacket models are equipped with two buttons, an “R” and a “Hand” icon, located on the chest.

Touch the “R” To Turn On and Adjust Main Body Temperatures
The “R” button turns on your Ravean heated jacket and controls heated panels located in the main body, on the chest and back.

Touch and hold the R button for three seconds, until it turns red. When turned on, your jacket defaults to the highest temperature setting (red). Touch again to cycle through heat settings, to medium heat (blue), or low heat (white), until comfortable.

To turn off, simply touch and hold for three seconds until the “R” button is no longer lit.

Touch the “Hand” To Adjust Glove and Pocket Temperatures
Ravean Heated Down Jackets are also equipped with a glove connector system that delivers warmth down to your fingertips, without any additional cumbersome batteries.

The “Hand” button allows you to toggle between glove and pocket temperatures. When gloves are connected, your heating system defaults to keeping fingers toasty. Once gloves are disconnected, your pockets will immediately begin to warm.

5v Heated Hoodie & Down Vest

Ravean Heated Hoodie and Heated Down Vest models are equipped with a single “R” button to toggle between temperatures.

Located on the exterior upper left chest of the vest, and the interior upper left of the hoodie, the “R” button controls heated panels located in the main body, on the chest and back.

Keeping Heat On Standby

Need to dash inside? No problem.

Other heated jacket systems force you to turn power completely off to save energy when entering a warmer environment. A complete reboot requires up to several minutes to heat back up once you’re ready to go back out the door.

Because no one wants to freeze even for five minutes, we’ve made it extra convenient to stay warm without draining your battery. Our low-setting keeps your Ravean jacket, hoodie, or vest activated—but in intervals of .1 seconds on for every 10 seconds off—giving you immediate heat with no delay.

The Difference Is In The Details

Living in a cold climate drives people to do things you’d normally never dream of— but we believe wearing a cumbersome coat that’s the equivalent of an electric blanket shouldn’t be one of them.

If you agree, follow us at facebook.com/raveanlife for updates on how and when to get your brand spankin’ new Ravean model just as soon as they’re released on October 1st.
